From WSB-TV.com:

Two men wearing white gloves are accused of breaking into Bishop Eddie Long’s office at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and making off with high-end electronics, DeKalb police said.

It happened at about 10:45 p.m. June 13 at the church located at 6400 Woodrow Road in Lithonia.

According to a police report obtained by Channel 2 Action News, the church’s security manager, Patrick Simmons, told investigators that surveillance video showed two black men wearing white gloves and dark hooded tops enter the office.

Simmons said the men gained unauthorized access to Long’s office by using a master key.

Simmons said that same key was discovered missing from the secretary’s desk Friday, which is where it is normally kept.

In addition to taking Long’s iPad, Simmons said the thieves also made off with Long’s iPhone and some jewelry. A dollar amount for the stolen jewelry has not been determined, but police said a “substantial amount” was taken.

Simmons said the master key suddenly reappeared the next day.

Police have since arrested two people in connection with the incident. Investigators believe it was “an inside job”, but haven’t explained the suspects’ relationship to New Birth.
