Many have said then-Senator Barack Obama won the 2008 presidential election as a result of his campaign’s social media engagement, but Rev. Jesse Jackson begs to differ. During this year’s annual Rainbow Push Coalition Conference, Rev. Jackson said Pres. Obama’s win in 2008 was a result of his 1988 run for the White House. Jackson explained Obama won in ’08 because we changed how delegates were counted after the ’88 campaign. Allocation of Democratic presidential delegates was switched  from the winner-take-all allocation system to proportional allocation.
