Las Vegas shooting shooter’s motive unknown

It’s been two days since that horrible Las Vegas shooting where Stephen Paddock killed 59 people at a country music concert. Police still don’t know why, his brother Eric Paddock says he wasn’t tied to any extreme groups.

This tragedy has put the spotlight on the gun control debate. Georgia is considered a gun friendly state. Three years ago law makers approved a law that expanded the number of places where firearms could be carried but Georgia State Senator Elena Parent is pushing stricter gun control.
Atlanta city council votes to ease marijuana penalties

The Atlanta city council voted yesterday to take jail time out of the penalty for anybody caught with less than an ounce of marijuana. If signed by Mayor Kasim Reed this ordinance will reduce the penalty to a maximum $75 fine.
