School bus driver charged with D.U.I.

A former Walton County school bus driver charged with D.U.I. while driving a bus load of children admitted to school officials and investigators that she consumed alcohol the night before her early morning shift on August 21. Catherine Etheridge, 49 was stopped at Loganville Middle School after a concerned child on board her bus contacted a parent. She posted $25,762 bail and has been released from jail.
DeKalb officer charged with vehicle homicide
Charges have been filed against a Dekalb County police officer in the death of a woman hit and killed by a police cruise while jogging last month. Officer Iain MacGowan was charged with homicide by vehicle, reckless driving, speeding and failure to maintain a lane int he death of 66-year-old Janet Pickney. DeKalb police Chief James Conroy said the department has started the termination process for MacGowan, who had been with the DeKalb PD for four years.
