Developing news in Washington, DC Five people have been shot during a practice for a Congressional baseball team. Representative Steve Scalise the House majority whip was one of those victims and is in stable condition.  Fifteen to Twenty-five lawmakers were on the scene of that practice at the time of the shooting.  Capitol police say this appears to be a deliberate attack, the shooter is in custody but there is no word on his identity or motive for the shooting.

Police around the state are looking for two inmates after they overpowered and shot two corrections officers Tuesday ( June 14, 2017) morning in Putnam County.  There is a $70,000 rewards for information on the inmates Donnie Russell Rowe and Ricky Dubose.


Local pastor organizes Father’s Day bail out

A local pastor has a big gift for Father’s Day, he plans on posting bond for some fathers who are currently in jail.  Pastor Christopher Waller with the group Don’t Count Me Out wants to bail out 25 father’s in time for Father’s Day.  Pastor Waller says fathers in jail for minor offenses and misdemeanors are eligible and once out they’ll participate in a reunification ceremony and a special Father’s Day dinner.  The group needs volunteers and mentors log on to

Republican Karen Handel has gained support in the 6th Congressional district race.  The latest 11 alive poll shows that Handel is deadlocked with Democrat Jon Ossoff each with 47%.  The new 11 alive poll shows that Handel is gaining among independent and male voters.
