Subject: Confused Friend
Dear Steven and Shirley
My best friend and I have been friends for over 22 years. We are like brothers and there is not anything we would not do for each other at least which is what I always thought until now. He’s been married for over 15 years and he worships the ground that his wife walks on they have a beautiful home and two wonderful bright kids on the surface their marriage seem to be perfect however I know different. Couple of months ago I saw his wife with another man they were sitting side-by-side in a booth at a sports bar. I walked over and said hello and she nearly fainted. I asked the guy she was with if he knew she was married to my best friend he quickly apologized and left. She pleaded with me not to tell her husband I asked her how long this is going on and she replied that they have been having a fling for over six months. Steve and Shirley the problem I’m having is should I tell my friend he is already asking why I do not come around that much anymore I feel that is not my place to tell him. I corrected her on the spot hoping she may tell him which she has not. What is the right thing should I keep this secret or tell my dear friends? He will be crushed if I tell him.
