Given Beyonce’s investments across apparel, music, and technology, she’s definitely the type of woman we want to get business advice from.

Luckily, Fast Company tapped the super star for her business acumen in their new issue while telling other company’s what they can learn from her.

Beyonce was ahead of the curve with her visual albums, tapping into the demand for video in today’s society. This timeliness is the first of many keys to her success.

The article then goes on to explain the multi- Grammy Award winner’s ability to own her narrative (ahem, the elevator incident), bravely cause a commotion (remember when cops wanted to boycott Beyonce??), market herself well, and live on the element of surprise.

Those efforts combined with discipline and talent, makes some damn good lemonade.
