Obama Meets With US Servicemen Who Subdued Gunman On Train To France

President Barack Obama is meeting with Spencer Stone, Alek Skarlatos and Anthony Sadler today so Obama can express his gratitude to the young men for their courage in taking down a gunman on a train headed towards France. Stone was in the Air Force One and Skarlatos was returning from duty in Afghanistan; their friend, Sadler, a civilian, accompanied them for a vacation in Europe. There were 500 passengers aboard the train; one bullet hit a passenger and Stone injured his arm while scuffling with the perpetrator, a 26-year-old member of “the radical Islamic movement.” Thanks to the three men’s quick thinking and team work in subduing the gunman, there were no fatalities in the attack.
