Michael K. Williams will be joining  Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon in the upcoming reboot of Ghostbusters, reports Complex.

Williams, also well known as Omar Little from The Wire, will be playing a character named Hawkins. That’s all the information that seems to be available at the moment, but the film is currently shooting in Boston (but it will be set in New York City).

The new Ghostbusters is said to be about a pair of authors who write a book asserting that ghosts are real. Several years later, one of those authors gets a teaching position at Columbia University, but becomes the laughing stock of the academic world after that book resurfaces. She reunites with her partner and two other proton pack-wielding exorcists, and ends up having to save The Big Apple after ghosts invade Manhattan.

I’m not always down for remaking cult classics, but this sounds like it could actually be good.
