Strippers Accused of Drugging Men With Molly, Robbing Them of $200,000
Four strippers were arrested in New York today for allegedly drugging several men and charging their credit cards with purchases totaling $200,000 dollars. The Associated Press reports that Roselyn Keo, Karina Pasucci, Marsi Rosen, and Samantha Barbash (above) were charged with crimes including grand larceny, conspiracy, and forgery.Carmine Vitolo, manager of RoadHouse, a gentlemen’s club in Queens, was charged with conspiracy, grand larceny, and tampering with physical evidence. 8 UPS Employees Claim Racial Discrimination
A group of eight current and former employees of United Parcel Service in Kentucky have sued the company saying they faced racial discrimination, poor treatment based on race and retaliation after they complained. The men also contend an effigy of a black UPS employee hung from the ceiling outside the manager’s office for four days. The suit, filed Friday in Fayette County Circuit Court in Lexington, names three managers and the company as defendants. Read more.
Oprah Winfrey will Play Annie Lee Cooper in Ava DuVernay’s ‘Selma’
With principal photography underway, Ava DuVernay’s “Selma” cast continues to expand – this time adding Oprah Winfrey (who’s also a producer on the film by the way). Ms. Winfrey will play Annie Lee Cooper, a civil rights hero, who gained notoriety in 1965 for a confrontation with then Sheriff James G. Clark, outside the Dallas County (in Selma) courthouse, where she was attempting to register to vote. The 54-year-old Cooper was ordered to go home by the Sheriff; according to reports I read, she claimed that he poked her in the back of the neck with either a billy club or a cattle prod, which prompted her to turn around and deliver a solid right hook to the sheriff’s jaw, dropping him to the ground.
