Legendary former heavyweight champs of the world, Mike Tyson (pictured top) and Evander Holyfield (pictured bottom), whose historical 1997 bout against each other is still fodder for news outlets globally, have now reunited in a hilarious commercial spoof for Foot Locker for their “Week of Greatness” event, according to the New York Daily News.

The latest Foot Locker promotion features an appearance by Cleveland Cavaliers superstar Kyrie Irving, who is faced with a busy week of premium kicks releases. The young point guard exclaims in the commercial that “all’s right with the world,” then begins to fantasize.

In Irving’s dream sequences, cameo appearances are made by iconic sports figures whose famous faux pas are made right, starting with the moment Tyson bit part of Holyfield’s ear during their highly publicized bout 16 years ago. Reportedly, Tyson could not come to grips with Holyfield’s unbeatable boxing skills and he desperately wanted to beat him but just could not, so frustration led him to bite off a piece of his opponent’s ear.

In the spoof, Tyson makes up with Holyfield by ever-so-humbly returning the portion of ear he bit off during the bout, telling his former opponent, “I kept it in formaldehyde.”

Priceless!

The commercial also spotlights the likes of former NBA Dennis Rodman buying a one-way ticket to North Korea from an airline ticket agent amid a crowd of onlookers, who applaud because he is never coming back to these shores.

And Forty-plus years sports sideline broadcaster Craig Sager is featured as well burning a trademark bizarre suit.

And then there’s Brett Favre, whose famous NFL retiring and unretiring antics kept heads spinning. In the spoof, Favre is seated at a diner with a plate of food in front of him. He tells a waitress, “A man’s got to know when to walk away.”
