Since Kerry Washington has been making such a splash on T.V. with “Scandal,” we thought it would be a good idea to take a look back at the powerful black women who came before her and who continue to represent for us on T.V.

Thanks Ladies.

Number 12:

Nicole Behair as Detective Abbie Mills from “Sleepy Hollow”

Though the show ‘Sleepy Hollow’ has only started, the story of Detective Abbie Mills has completely enthralled audiences. Nicole Behair brings a fresh, sassy and intelligent air to the world of Sleepy Hollow. Since the show was recently renewed for a second season we can hope to see more of Miss Behair’s natural talent for years to come.

Number 11:

Danai Gurira as Michonne from “The Walking Dead”

When the character Michonne entered The Walking Dead with two well trained Zombies chained to her sides for protection we knew she was not to be messed with. Michonne has proven to be a strategic planner, an accomplished fighter and sensitive when the time calls for it. The only downside is there’s more to her in the comics than the show has given us. We have our fingers crossed for more development in the future.

Number 10:

Aisha Tyler as Lana Kane from “Archer”

Whoever said women can’t fight like men has never met Lana Kane. Gentlemen, do not be fooled by her beautiful design Lana (voiced by the talented Aisha Tyler) is a highly intelligent secret agent working for the not so intelligent ISIS. Suffice it to say that if you run into her in a dark alleyway on a bad day, it’s best if you run in the other direction before she can grab her gun.Want to find out who made number 1?
