No one can ever say Janelle Monae doesn’t know how to demand the stage or give a stellar performance!

The songstress made her “Saturday Night Live” debut on last night’s episode and showed the world why she was recently named Billboard’s Rising Star. With a two-set performance of  ”Dance Apocalyptic” and “Electric Lady,” the 27-year-old starlet rocked her signature black-and-white ensemble and danced her socks off.

The soul singer’s sophomore album The Electric Lady, which dropped last month, peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 charts. With superb reviews, we’re glad to see the R&B game changer finally getting the recognition she deserves.
