Anika Noni Rose has an unmatched poise and regality that renders you vulnerable to every word she speaks. The Tony Award-winning singer, actress has a long list of inspiring roles under her belt and you can add her latest film, “The Watsons Go To Birmingham” to the roster.

Starring along side Wood Harris in the Hallmark Channel original, Rose plays a dedicated mother who brings her two boys to Alabama during the height of the Civil Rights Movement. It is there, that they learn the Black plight outside of their privileged Michigan upbringing.

Anika Noni Rose starred in “Dream Girls” and nurtured your children’s fantasy’s in “The Princess & The Frog” as Disney’s first Back princess and now, she is giving them a history lesson they won’t soon forget.
