Lyricist, former American Idol judge, businesswoman and all-around diva, Nicki Minaj is making her mark in Hip-Hop history. and other marketing heavyweights in the field. With two successful albums, a crew of critically acclaimed mixtapes,  Endorsement deals from Pepsi to Adidas and a slew of scene stealing guest spots under her belt, the first lady of Lil Wayne’s crew has been on a tear.  While she is now one of the most recognizable faces of Young Money, back in 1997, young Minaj was actually signed to a completely different label withe money of another kind.

“Well, I’m signed to Dirty Money records and Fendi, who owns that, is also the owner of The Come Up DVD. So it’s only right that I’m the 1st lady of The Come Up DVD,” said Minaj in the video below.

It turns out, before her money was young, it was dirty! If they could only see her now… wait a minute, of course they can!
