Strawberry Letter: How To Deal With African Men

Dear Mr. Harvey and Shirley Strawberry,

I am a lady from Africa and yes your book has reached our continent. I have read “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man” and found it very interesting. It has given me more insight into men, especially how they think, but my issue is, yes, these points kind of cut across men, but African men I don’t think so. Looking at the point of a lady having a child and the man likes her and wants to get serious with her. Here that is really not the case. Here in Africa, especially West Africa, most men don’t want to have anything to do with a woman who has a child. It is changing though. Another point is giving a man ninety days. Here in Africa, some men, when you are their target can go through the ninety days, join your church, become so devoted and do all the good stuff, as soon as they get the cookie, they are gone. The African men here can do just anything and wait for a really long time and as soon as they get the cookie they are gone for good. Any idea on how to deal with African men?
