The Atlanta Falcons finally ended their win-less playoff streak under head coach Mike Smith and quarterback Matt Ryan with a 30 – 28 last minute win over the Seattle Seahawks.

The Falcons shut out the Seahawks 20 – 0 in the first half but allowed the visiting team to mount a comeback in the second half, with the Seahawks taking the lead 28 – 27 with about 30 seconds left.

Not to be denied, Matt Ryan led the Falcons down the field and completed several big plays, including a big catch to future hall of famer Tony Gonzalez that put the Falcons in field goal range.

Kicker Matt Bryant banged a 49-yarder through the uprights with eight seconds to play to give the Falcons the win. The Falcons advance to the NFC Championship game next Sunday, where they’ll face the San Francisco 49ers at the Georgia Dome for a trip to the Super Bowl!

Congrats to the Falcons!!!
