Shoppers at a mall in China got much more than they bargained for when a 33-ton aquarium filled with live sharks exploded and burst open, sending sharks, fish and turtles everywhere.
Security video inside the Shanghai shopping mall captured the terrifying moment, which injured at least 15 people and led to the deaths of several animals. The chaotic incident occurred on December 18 inside the Shanghai Oriental Shopping Center.
Most of the injured were mall employees who suffered cuts from broken glass, while one person suffered a broken ankle. Three lemon sharks and dozens of smaller fish and turtles were killed.
