With a cosign from First Lady Michelle Obama, it is no wonder 23-year-old Elle Varner is the next big voice! The curly haired songstress released her debut album Perfectly Imperfect in August and established herself as an R&B angel in the process.

Varner was born into the music business with two songwriters for parents, Elle has never taken the talents that seem embedded in her DNA for granted. While sitting through one of her father’s recording sessions, Elle argued her him down one day, claiming one of his songs sucked. He left her in the studio for an hour, charging her with the task of writing a better one. When he came back, not only had Elle written the song, but sang it for him and recorded it. She was only thirteen years old. Elle was voted “Most Likely to Win a Grammy,” and “Most Likely to Get Signed” by her High School class.

Well on her way to those accomplishments, Varner’s first single “Only Wanna Give It To You” peaked at number 20 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Billboard Charts. She was listed in TheBoomBox’s “15 Artists to Watch” and featured in BET’s Music Matters campaign.
