Just a day after being arrested for allegedly head-butting his wife, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has been released by his newest team the Miami Dolphins.
According to ESPN, Johnson was released from jail on $2,500 bond Sunday after his wife Evelyn Lozada of “Basketball Wives” fame accused the Miami native of head-butting her during an argument in front of their home. Johnson was charged with simple domestic battery, a misdemeanor.
However, the charge was enough for the Dolphins to sever ties with the six-time Pro Bowl receiver. Earlier this year Johnson was cut after one season with the New England Patriots.
Chad and Lozada reportedly got into a heated argument after Lozada found a receipt for condoms.
