It’s been six months since the world lost Heavy D (born Dwight Myers). In honor of Heavy D’s birthday, which is today, Mayor Ernest D. Davis, the mayor of Heavy D’s hometown, Mount Vernon, New York, has declared today to be “Heavy D Day” in Mount Vernon.
