Strawberry Letter: Hiding Riches

Good morning Mr. Harvey and Ms. Strawberry!

My wife and I of 4 wonderful years and counting have recently come into a large amount of money. In fact, we don’t really ever have to worry about money any more.

We have kept this whole thing a secret from our family members and friends for the time being because I know once they find out, the “begging festival” will begin. My wife and I are giving people by nature but I don’t want to be taken advantage of by every sad story we hear.

Please advise me as to the best way to distinguish between who we should and shouldn’t give money to. We are a young couple who’s been fortunate and we want to be financially responsible and not financially stupid.

Thanks in advance for your sound advice.
