Those pics of Lenny Kravitz on an old-school telephone handset attachment that hit the Web earlier in June were not some kind of deliberate attempt to go retro.
The rocker says he’s terrified of getting radiation from using his cell phone without it.
“It keeps the rays, or whatever you want to call them, off your head . You can’t slip it into your pocket very easily but it’s worth it,” he told “The Kyle & Jackie O Show” on Sydney’s 2Day FM of his handset attachment, seen in the photo above.
Kravitz also said he doesn’t ever get sloppy drunk because he likes to live an “organic” life.
“I’ve never been drunk. I guess it comes down to what we call drunk. I just get nice. I’m all about nature and letting things be organic,” he said.
As previously reported, Kravitz will release his ninth studio album, “Black and White America,” later this month. He recently sold his house in New York City, and has now made Paris his permanent home.
“I have a house in Paris, when I want to have a city vibe I go to Paris which is beautiful, I’m very much into architecture and design and art so it’s a great place to be,” he said.
