The legendary Paul Mooney is in town for a two-night stint at Uptown Comedy Corner and he stopped by Majic 107.5 / 97.5 to speak with Myronda.

Paul was Richard Pryor’s main writer and he also invented classic characters like Homie the Clown from “In Living Color” and Negrodamus from “Chappelle’s Show.”

Calling Pryor his “best friend,” Paul also talked about the state of comedy today compared to the past and complained that “everybody wants to be funny” now. He added that since everyone wants to be a comedian now he’s going to branch out into acting and politics.
