Positive American Youth and the Police Athletic League are teaming up to host the 2011 May Madness Basketball Tournament. The purpose of this tournament is to raise funds for Positive American Youth and Police Athletic League nonprofit organizations, scholarship funding for the Kappa Alpha Psi and Omega Psi Phi Fraternities. The tour will also assist in the collection of canned goods for the Police Athletic League’s feeding program. This is an event the entire family can enjoy. The tournament will consist of rivalry games, music, contests and special prize giveaways. There will be representatives from several Colleges and Universities, community figures, radio station personalities, professional athletes, as well as other celebrities in attendance.

About Police Athletic League (www.atlantapal.com): The Atlanta and Dekalb Police Athletic League are non-profit charitable organizations. PAL’s purpose is to foster and encourage a spirit of trust, loyalty and value among the city of Atlanta’s youth. In order to achieve the program’s goals, PAL has implemented a variety of quality, organized activities that allow police officers, children, and volunteers to interact together. These carefully planned activities teach moral, civic, academic and social principles to the participants, utilizing athletics as a basis for this interaction and teamwork.

Admission: Youth ages 0-12- FREE, Teens ages 13-18- FREE with canned good.
