Monica has released the cover of her forthcoming album New Life. The Atlanta native, who is currently promoting “It Belongs To Me” with Brandy, is set to release her latest project on April 10th.

New Life features the single “Anything (To Find You)” with Rick Ross, “Take a Chance” and more.

Susan L. Taylor and Steve Harvey lead a  town hall discussion at Morehouse College tonight on educating black youth. The former Essence editor-in-chief was on the Steve Harvey Morning Show today talking about the town hall.

The event, sponsored by General Mills as part of its “Box Tops for Education” program begins at 7 p.m. in the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel on the campus of Morehouse College. It is free with advance registration at www.btfe.com/townhall. Special guests will include Spelman College President Beverly Tatum actress Tisha Campbell-Martin, singers Monica and Chilli of TLC.

The goal is to start a conversation about the importance of a strong primary education in the lives of children and the impact mentoring can have on both children and their education.

With a fast-growing number of children falling below the poverty line, Taylor said America has no choice but to develop innovative strategies to secure their future.

Atlanta’s own Monica was on the Steve Harvey Morning Show today talking about the upcoming General Mills Box Tops for Education town hall that she will be participating in with Steve Harvey and others at Morehouse College on March 15.

The town hall will also feature editor emeritus of Essence magazine Susan L. Taylor, Dr. Jacquelyn Jackson Fleming, president of LifeLearn Associates; Dr. Beverly D. Tatum, Spelman College President; Tommy Hillman, Box Tops for Education brand manager; Tisha Campbell-Martin, star from television series Martin and My Wife and Kids; and Chilli from five-time Grammy Award winning girl group TLC.

Only time will tell if “It All Belongs To Me” will become a number one song and win a Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal Grammy like “The Boy Is Mine” did. But you can find out right now what Monica and Brandy’s reunion represents, how they feel about the comparisons, and more in this exclusive video.

Brandy and Monica recently released a new track together, “It All Belongs to Me,” and the dynamic R&B duo are now in talks to tour together this summer.

Atlanta native Monica talked to Connecticut radio station 93.7 where she stated:

“We’re dedicated to a tour in the summer. Looking back at it, it was so silly and so juvenile that we’re dedicated to this song in a different way.”

While nothing is set in stone, Monica says she and Brandy really hope everything works out:

“We’re working on that now and trying to find different sponsors and people that will get us in the cities we feel like we should be in, so it’s not just as easy as saying it, but we’re actually putting forth the effort to try and make sure it happens.”

Look for Monica’s album, New Life, when it hits stores April 10th. Brandy’s as-yet-untitled album will be released in May.

We previously reported that Monica and Brandy teamed up again 14 years after their hit “The Boy Is Mine.” The track, “It All Belongs To Me,” shows each woman’s vocal and personal growth.
