Strawberry Letter: Messed Up
Dear Steve and Shirley,
I have found myself in a very bad situation. I am 24-years-old unemployed college student. My boyfriend of 4 years has broke-up with me. We have been broke-up now for about a week. The reason, well I don’t know how to hold my drinks. I go out have fun and sometimes have one too many drinks I’m cool till I get home.
Then when I get home I tell my boyfriend about his self.well I have done that so many times I never remember what I have said to him anyway but it hurts his feelings every time. I have never been the one to do the hurting in any relationship I have been in I’m ALWAYS the one getting hurt. Now that I have a good guy and it took me 3 no-good guys to get to him. I really love him and I have been really open with him b/c I was afraid he would hurt me just like all the rest. At first he told me I had 30 days to move then he said I still have to move but can stay until I found a place and a job.
Well I asked him for another chance he said no that I have hurt him too many times. Then I asked him if I could have two months to prove to him that I really love him and want to be with him…he finally agreed but said I only have one month. I’m so confused b/c due to his vision he is unable to drive so I drive everywhere he needs to go, then he had sex with after the breakup only to say he did it b/c he thought I wanted to (like a favor to me).
What should I do? How do I prove I’m a good girlfriend without kissing his butt? Do you think its really over or is he playing some kind of mind game with me? I’m so confused I want him back just don’t know how to get him back.
