Strawberry Letter: I Want My Dad Back
Dear morning crew,
I am a 17 year old young lady. I am the youngest of 3 siblings. I live with both my parents. I’m a smart student and I have good grades in school. I make good decisions in life but I have just one problem. I don’t feel as if my father wants to be involved in my life. Sure, he works but when he is around me, my mom, or siblings he never talks to us, or asks about school, work etc. or seems interested in my life at all.
When we are in church he seems that he is so happy towards everybody else, but when we are in the house, its a different story. He is always mad or not happy about something. I have tried to make conversation or talk, I pray on it more than I ever have and now that I am preparing to leave I don’t know what else I can do. I want him in my life but I don’t know how to do it.
So my question to you is, how can I fix this?
