Oscar winning actor Denzel Washington was on the Steve Harvey Morning Show today talking about his 40th film, “Safe House,” which opens in theaters nationwide February 10.

Filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, Denzel said he did many of his his own stunts. It’s the first time he’s played a bad guy since winning an Oscar for his role in “Training Day.”

“I’m playing just an awful guy, a killer, a traitor, a liar, a thief, just an awful guy, but you like him,” said Denzel.

He also talked about his next film role where he plays an alcoholic airplane pilot.
