Lauryn Hill is getting ready to release a new album. The former Fugee star, who has been doing live performances all over the world is preparing new material for her new album.

Hill recently told MTV that she respects the different sounds and what people do, but has no plans to include any collaborations.

“I like to hear the mixture,” Hill said. “In terms of collaborations that’s not even something I’ve been thinking about, per say,” Hill told MTV.

Jamie Foxx To Launch New Sketch Comedy Series On Fox

Jamie Foxx is returning to the television network that helped launch him to superstardom.

Fox TV has ordered 12 episodes of a sketch comedy show, tentatively titled “The Jamie Foxx Project,” that will be a mid-season replacement. Actor/comedian Affion Crockett is already attached to the project as both a cast member and a producer.

Rihanna announced last January that she would be releasing a book: Rihanna To Release Book, Will You Buy It?

Back then, it was titled “Rihanna: The Last Girl On Earth,” was set for a June 29 release date, and was supposedly a “tell-all.”

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that T.I. is headed back to Atlanta and may soon be ordered to face the federal judge who signed off on an extraordinary deal that shaved years off a potential prison term.

Meanwhile, the New York Daily News has learned that the controlled substance found in T.I. and Tiny’s vehicle were pills suspected to be the drug Ecstasy.

The newlyweds were pulled over on Sunset Blvd. after their Maybach made an illegal U-turn, according to a source.

“It was a regular traffic violation. Then deputies smelled marijuana emitting from the car, and that’s when the narcotics investigation ensued,” Sheriff’s spokeswoman Nicole Nishida told the NY Daily News. “They found pills resembling Ecstasy. The pills are being tested.”

According to the AJC, T.I.’s arrest could trigger a motion by his probation officer. The officer could ask U.S. District Judge Charles Pannell Jr. to revoke some of the remaining probation on T.I.’s federal sentence stemming from his arrest on gun charges three years ago. T.I’s probation expires in 2013.

“T.I. is going to be back on his way to Atlanta in the next 24 hours,” Don Samuel, one of T.I.’s lawyers, said Thursday. “It’s almost certain he’ll end up appearing before the court here. But without knowing all the facts, it’s premature to speculate what the court is likely to do.”

Ed Garland, another member of T.I.’s legal team, said the rapper quickly notified the U.S. Probation Office of his arrest, as the conditions of his probation require. The probation officer has instructed T.I. to report to him when the rapper returns to Atlanta, Garland said.

Tiny, 36, (born Tameka Cottle) posted a Twitter message after her release, expressing gratitude to fans:

“Jus wanted 2say thank u 2every1 dats been leaving encouraging msgs & prayers! We love u guys,” she wrote. “Going 2bed now! So glad 2b n a nice clean bed.”

Paula Patton Scores Lead Role In “Mission: Impossible 4″ Film

Paula Patton has signed onto the new “Mission: Impossible” movie as the female lead, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed.

According to a source close to the film it will not be a “reboot” as has been reported, but it won’t be titled Mission: Impossible IV either.

As for Patton, she’s reportedly playing an up-and-coming agent working with Cruise’s Ethan Hunt. But since the film’s plot will likely remain locked in a vault until much closer to the movie’s expected Dec. 16, 2011 release, Patton’s character could be anything from Keri Russell’s character in “Mission: Impossible III” (i.e. a platonic teammate), to Emmanuelle Béart’s role from 1996′s Mission: Impossible (i.e. a seductress and double agent).

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been hit with a $12 million dollar lawsuit by a former employee, who claims he fired her from Bad Boy Records over her age and medical condition.
TMZ.com reports that Francesca Spero filed the lawsuit in New York Federal Court today (September 1st).

According to the lawsuit Spero identifies herself as a “51-year-old-white woman” who clashed with Combs after she revealed she needed hip surgery in 2008.

Spero, who was Vice President of Management and Publishing at Bad Boy Records, “suffered a relapse” into an addition to prescription medication and alcohol abuse.

She claims that Combs attempted to freeze her out of her position at Bad Boy until she was fired in March of 2010 and allegedly replaced with a woman who lacked her skill set, in addition to being 10-15-years younger.

T.I. & Tiny Arrested On Drug Charges

Rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny were arrested in West Hollywood on drug charges late last night.According to sources , T.I. and Tiny were pulled over for a routine traffic stop by West Hollywood police, who smelled what they described as marijuana smoke. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, was booked along with his wife and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The Associated Press reports that bail was set at $10,000. T.I. and Tiny have posted bail and have already been released.

Of course the couple recently married a little over a month ago, and T.I. currently has the number one movie in the country with “Takers.”

Does this mean that T.I. is going back to jail???

D’Angelo Returns To The Studio!

D’Angelo’s long-awaited follow-up to his sophomore disc “Voodoo” may come sooner than you think. Brooklyn-based artist/producer Mark Ronson, who is readying the release of his third album “Record Collection,” is also involved with D’Angelo’s third album.

Speaking with Billboard.com, Ronson said that he was,

“going into the studio… to work a bit on his record, and I have equal parts intimidation and awe and excitement.”

D’Angelo has largely stayed out of the spotlight since the 2000 release of “Voodoo,” which won the singer a 2001 Grammy award for Best R&B Album and has sold 1.7 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Although Ronson says that he does not know how close the new album is to being completed, the producer adds,

“I know he’s been working nonstop. It’s not like they’ve been sitting on their asses.”

Ronson, who helped produce Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black,’ says the rare collaboration came together earlier this year partly because he and D’Angelo once shared the same manager.

“I was pretty much floored when D said that the only two records of the past 5 to 6 years that he really listened to a lot were ‘St. Elsewhere’ by Gnarls Barkley and ‘Back to Black,’” says Ronson. “I was like, ‘I cannot believe I made something that this guy listened to over and over again and looked to for inspiration.’”

We recently told you that “Basketball Wives” Jennifer Williams’ husband Eric Williams supposedly had a child with another woman.

Well the woman whose name is Brandy decided to tweet Jennifer a pic of her 18 month old son Jaden just to confirm that the baby does exist:

“The case has been in court for over a year,” read the second tweet with a photo.

Sources say:

“Brandy has been through a lot the past 2 years. As a single mother to her only son, Jayden, she has had no help and supports him on her own. She hopes that the paternity case will conclude soon so she can get the support she needs to provide the best for him. Eric has failed to take 2 court issued paternity tests so far. I think he is a dead beat dad that only wishes to keep Brandy quiet in hopes of landing a reality show spin off from Basketball Wives. Twitter may not have been the best outlet but Brandy feels that Jennifer should know the truth. Brandy’s situation is very sad, I mean if your baby daddy was on TV flossing his money and his wife then tells you he is broke and can’t pay child support, how would you feel? He needs to step up and be a real man and acknowledge his son. I mean he is a retired washed out basketball player, he should have more than enough time to take the test and prove he is the father.”
