Coming in at number 1 over the weekend was the vampire romance movie “The Twilight Saga: Blue Moon” which brought in a whopping $140 million in its first weekend.
Coming in second was the sports drama “The Blind Side” with $34 million. At the third spot was the action drama “2012” bringing in $26.5 million. The animated movie “Planet 51” debuted in the fourth spot and brought in $12.6 million and Jim Carey’s animated movie “A Christmas Carol” rounded out the top five with $12.3 million.
Also the drama movie “Precious” has grossed a total of 21 million in its third week.
