Richard “Crazy Legs” Colon has toured the globe as part of the pioneering Rock Steady Crew breakdance group. Now Crazy Legs is devoting a significant amount of time to his new daily webcast, “Lunch Breaks,” which is part cooking show, part hip-hop show.

Celebrating Black Marriage Day 2011

“This just started with me wanting to promote the fact that I was D.J.-ing,” Colon told the New York Times. “I wanted to do something like D.J. Red Alert used to do with his afternoon show on Hot 97, and bring something to people on their lunch hour.”

The show airs every weekday live from Colon’s personal kitchen, and features Colon’ and a special guest whipping up healthy meal while he spins music ranging from Biggie to Ray Barretto.

“Putting a healthy meal on my plate is important for me as a dancer,” he said. “Not being the youngest dude in the world, I have to keep a healthy perspective as I get older.”

Past guests on the show have included Big Daddy Kane and DJ Tony Touch.
