Eighteen years after his debut album, R. Kelly is still going strong.
His upcoming album, Love Letter, has already spawned the hit single “When A Woman Loves,” and now the album’s title track begins its ascent up the charts.
We admit that we can be a bit harsh on Kells sometime, but it’s understandable given his checkered history and his penchant for wavering back and forth between beautiful ballads and absolutely absurd compositions, but we’re really digging “Love Letter.”
We’ve always said that Kells was at his best when he was doing his grown man thing and not trying to do his hood love songs (unless it means more hilarious songs like “Real Talk” or “R&B Thug”).
