Strawberry Letter 23: Cousin Making The Rounds
Good morning Steve, and the Morning Crew,
My situation is one that is hard to put into words. As a young girl, for years I had a crush on my cousin. After growing up and learning that he is not actually my “blood” relative we started an intimate relationship. We live in different states so the relationship was able to stay alive for years.
The only problem was this man is married with five children between him and his wife. The relationship fizzled out for reasons unbeknownst to me. After hacking my “cousin’s” email address I found out that he has had relationships with quite a few of my cousins and it appears that they were lured in the same way I was, “we’re not really cousins.” I have saved copies of the many emails between my female cousins and this man and posted them to a web site for the world to see.
I’m considering possibly revealing them to the family at the next family reunion. I’m pretty sure that Shirley is calling me a “hot mess” at this time, and Steve has called me “trifling,” and possibly all of us “nasty.” That’s cool. It is what it is.
Here’s where I need your advice and/or opinion. Is revealing the letters at the family reunion AND to his wife a good idea? Thanks for your time,
