You know our girl, Shonda Rhimes has won many awards and accolades, she can now add the Sherry Lansing Award to her collection. The Sherry Lansing award, recognizes a woman who is a leader in her industry, the award will be presented during the VIP Women In Entertainment breakfast on December 10 at Milk Studios in Los Angeles.
Rhimes’ production company, Shondaland, has three hit shows airing on ABC’s Thursday night lineup: Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder. She also has received a Golden Globe and three Emmy nominations for her work.
Past recipients of the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award include Oprah Winfrey, Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, Halle Berry, Jodie Foster, Glenn Close and Barbara Walters.
