It’s official! OutKast is coming home and will headline the CounterPoint Music & Arts Festival at Kingston Downs near Rome, Georgia this April!

The festival will take place April 25 – 27 and will also feature more than 75 acts including J. Cole, Janelle Monae, Major Lazer, Sleigh Bells, Chance the Rapper and Thievery Corporation. Big Boi played CounterPoint in 2012 but this is the first time he’ll play the festival with Andre 3000.

As we reported earlier, OutKast recently announced that they would play 40 festival dates to commemorate the 20-year anniversary of their groundbreaking 1994 debut album, “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.” The duo previously announced dates at Coachella in California and the Governor’s Ball in New York City.

During an appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show on Monday, OutKast’s former manager Queen Latifah told Stern that Big and Dre are “about to work on a new album,” but she quickly added that she doesn’t manage them anymore so she couldn’t confirm anything.

OutKast confirmed their reunion tour via Twitter recently:

Said Andre 3000:

“And imagine, all we wanted to do was rap! I am thankful to have been a part of a group that allowed me to explore anything that came to mind and have fun doing it. Returning to the stage together is the most exciting way for us to thank everyone for their 20 years of supporting Outkast.”

Big Boi added:

“It’s truly an honor to celebrate 20 years and still be free to do music the way we choose. Don’t just think outside the box, know that there is no box. I’m looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans – stank you smelly much, this is for y’all!”
