This one definitely pulls at the heartstrings! Funnyman Steve Harvey celebrated his 56th birthday on Thursday and the producers of his daytime talk show decided to surprise him with a special phone call.
The caller wishes Steve a happy birthday and said: “I just have one question, do you still love me, baby?” Immediately, Steve burst into tears.
Steve later explained who the mystery man was:
I was 26 years old, struggling. I didn’t have nothing and these people owned a furniture store in Cleveland. They took me in and gave me my first contract with my little carpet cleaning company. When I became a comedian at 27, I didn’t have money to travel. They gave me an account at their travel agency, and man I ran up a bill like $11,000 just traveling and try and make it. Those people right there, man they helped me out!
