Beyonce is already set to perform at the halftime show for this year’s Super Bowl, and now comes word she’ll also be singing the National Anthem at President Obama’s inauguration.

The event will take place January 21 at the West Front of the U.S. Capitol. The inauguration takes on a special significance because it happens to be on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Beyonce and Jay-Z are huge supporters of President Obama. During the last presidential campaign, the couple held a fundraiser for Obama at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Manhattan. Four years ago, Beyonce serenaded Barack and Michelle Obama with Etta James’ “At Last” for the First Couple’s first dance at the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball

In addition, Jay-Z, along with Bruce Springsteen, performed during the President’s final campaign stop in Ohio.

Also performing at the inauguration will be Kelly Clarkson (“My Country ‘Tis of Thee”) and James Taylor (“America the Beautiful”).
