President Obama gave an interview to radio and TV personality Michael Yo, and during their discussion, the president was asked about pressing issues like the reported beef between new American Idol judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

Obama said in response, “You know what, I think they are going to be able to work it out…I’m all about bringing people together.”

As for preference, Obama explained that he’s worked with Mariah and Nick Cannon for campaign-related events. However, he admitted that Nicki Minaj’s music can be found on his iPod.

Meanwhile, President Obama did discuss his first debate performance: “There’s no doubt that I had an off-night…He had a sharp presentation but his ideas are still ones that aren’t going to work for America and aren’t going to work for your listeners. And so we’re just going to keep on going.”
