Strawberry Letter: I Want To Leave My Husband
Good Morning Shirley and Steve,
Let me dive right in to my situation…I have been married almost 5 years and two small children (both under the age of 5). My husband has lied, cheated, and has abandoned me during our marriage. My issue with him is that he doesn’t communicate well, and he is a liar. For example, when I was pregnant with both our children he would wait until I was asleep and leave the apartment. When I would wake up to use the restroom in the middle of the night, say midnight or later, I find him gone. He would close the door to our bedroom, and leave the television on in the living room as if he was in the front room asleep with the t.v. on. When I would call his cellphone, he wouldn’t answer. When I asked him about him not answering my calls he would say, “I saw you calling. I didn’t want to answer because I have a lot on my mind. I was thinking about how I am going to provide for another child.” (he has two children with his ex-wife) Recently, he told me was taking a ride on his motorcycle and went out-of-state. I didn’t find out about his ride out-of-town until the next day. Then he tried to lie about what time he came in from his little night out. He said he came in around 1:30am, but I let him know that he had to have come in after 2:30am as I went to bed around that time. I think he is involved with someone else, and want to keep me on his puppet strings. I want to leave, but I have children to consider. What do you guys suggest?
Miss Sick and Tired
