As if getting arrested for domestic violence and getting dropped by the Miami Dolphins wasn’t enough, video has now surfaced of Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson getting his walking papers from the Dolphins head coach. The firing was caught on video and aired on HBO’s Hard Knocks.

In case you missed it, Johnson was recently arrested on a domestic violence charge for allegedly headbutting his wife Evelyn Lozada and had been struggling in training camp, so the coach decided to part ways with the embattled wide receiver and Miami native.

Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin, who cut Johnson less than 24 hours after his arrest, claims that Chad’s arrest was not the sole reason for the decision to cut him:

“It was more a body of evidence from June 11th forward,” Philbin said, the date that Johnson signed with the Dolphins after being released from the New England Patriots. “When he came in on June 11th, we sat down, and we talked, and I was very clear as to the expectations of the program. It just didn’t work out. It’s more about the fit. In my gut, I didn’t think the fit was going to be beneficial to either party moving forward, whether in the short term or the long term. That’s really what it was all about. It wasn’t about one specific thing; it just wasn’t going to work.”
