NBA forward and semi-reality star Matt Barnes was arrested last night for an outstanding traffic warrant and somehow got charged with a felony in the process.
According to reports, Barnes was stopped in Manhattan Beach, California for a misdemeanor traffic warrant. Things escalated when he began mouthing off to the arresting officer. Matt Barnes was walking around Manhattan Beach when a police officer approached him. Officers ran a quick check on Barnes and found he had a whopping $26,000 unpaid traffic warrant for driving with a suspended license.
Barnes began threatening the officer and was hit with a felony charge of resisting arrest. Matt Barnes is being held on $51,000 bail. If we breakdown the amount of money for bail, $26,000 is for the traffic violation and the rest is for the felony resisting arrest and mouthing off.
