Strawberry Letter: Cell Phone Madness
Dear Steve and Shirley,
I am a 33-year-old married, mother of four and I am drowning in cell phone madness. My husband who I have been married to for almost seven years is tripping because a friend of mine offered to include me on his plan to get a cellphone we could use as an internet source to cut down on the household bills. Granted I felt a little off about it at first and even sent the first phone back, but then I got to thinking how much I would be able to save and all that.
The problem came in when my husband found out about the phone and went crazy. He told me it was a little convenient that he offered to get me a phone and how that was messed up that I would even take it. I was pretty shocked by this considering his friend had just done the same thing whereas it didn’t cost him a dime and I paid 150.00 to mine to add me but I didn’t say anything. I have since ported my number over to the new account and am trying to figure out if I was wrong in all this.
I don’t want to hurt my husband or my friend. Should I keep the phone or cut my losses?
Signed,
CONFUSED
